What To Wear With A White Shirt
November 23, 2022

What should you wear with a white shirt? We’re answering that question today.

If your day is casual, dress it up by pairing the white shirt with dark blue jeans and brown boots. Layer on a cardigan or blazer for warmth, depending on the season, so you don’t get too chilly while running errands around town. If you want to be more formal, pair the white shirt with black pants and shoes, so it’s dressier. For an even fancier look, put on some suspenders (if it’s not already part of your outfit). Another way to make an outfit dressier is by wearing a pencil skirt instead of loose-fitting pants; just make sure it doesn’t look old-fashioned!

It’s usually best to stick with neutral colors like black, brown, and gray for the rest of your outfit. If you want to wear a brighter color, stick with lighter shades; for example, red earrings would look nice since they’re not too bright.

If you’re looking for something more casual, white jeans are great because they go well with everything else (white shirt, dark blue jeans). Another option is light blue jeans. If you usually dress down your outfits by wearing sneakers or flats, switch it up with sandals instead. Just make sure they fit the occasion—don’t wear sandals if you’re headed to the mall! However, at work, I recommend staying away from sandals as shoes might accidentally slip off during work hours or when walking around the office.

For colder weather, wear darker colors so you don’t look washed out by the cold. Wear a navy blue blazer instead of a brown one if it’s really chilly outside since brown won’t provide any warmth. You can even throw on a dark gray or black cardigan with your white shirt for extra coziness! Make sure to layer your clothes so that you’re not overwhelmed by the cold temperature and you stay warm enough to survive the winter months! If wearing layers isn’t warm enough, consider adding an overcoat (for men) or trench coat (for women).

Add accessories like scarves, hats, gloves, and sunglasses to make yourself feel warmer. Scarves are also fashionable if they fit in with the rest of your outfit, so feel free to pick a color that matches your clothes or shoes.

It’s best to pair different accessories with similar colors—for example, wear a hat and belt in the same shade of brown. If you want to mix and match colors, make sure they don’t clash. For example, you wouldn’t want to wear a bright pink hat if your outfit or hair doesn’t go well! Since winter tends to be dark and dreary, jewel-toned accessories will help brighten up an otherwise boring outfit.
